Mr Ghanem served as clinical senior lecturer in Plastic Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgery at Barts and at the London School of Medicine and Dentistry of Queen Mary University of London where he founded and led the Master of Science programme in Aesthetic Medicine and Reconstructive Microsurgery until 2020. In 2020 he was appointed as a visiting Professor of Aesthetic Medicine at the College of Medicine and Dentistry Birmingham and Ulster University with a remit to establish and direct the new department of Facial Aesthetics. He is the Lead Consultant and Founder – Director of the Academy of the Aesthetic Regenerative Medicine and of the Aesthetic Regenerative Clinic.

Ali has received numerous international prized and awards including the prestigious International Fellowship of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Arnold Huddard Medal of the Craniofacial Society of Great Britain and Ireland.
